Emma Megaughin

Head of Scotland

Emma has worked as a political consultant for over six years, heading Newington’s Scotland office since early 2013. During this time, she has supported organisations in the planning and development, energy, health and education sectors – including IREGG, Barratt and the RHS – to understand Scottish policy priorities, develop effective strategies, build links across Holyrood and secure change.

Emma draws on her extensive experience in Scottish politics, including three years spent leading the Hansard Society in Scotland. There she built links across all political parties and contributed to a range of publications including ‘The Scottish Parliament 1999-2009: The First Decade’ and ‘Digital Citizens and Democratic Participation, MPs Online: Connecting with Constituents and MSPs in Schools’. Emma continues to be an active SNP campaigner.
