Based on its experience of investing in and working with a range of small businesses around the country, Octopus Investments was acutely aware that entrepreneurs often faced the same challenges. Its team asked us to help raise awareness of these challenges, and potential solutions.
We are coordinating a series of regional roundtables focused on capturing the experiences of local business leaders. The first of these took place in County Durham in June 2016 and organised in conjunction with the North East Chamber of Commerce.
The feedback from the event, attended by political and business leaders, was overwhelmingly positive. Further roundtables are planned and the lessons from all will be captured in a summary report that will help inform discussions on how to unlock the potential of the UK’s entrepreneurs.
